Race Overview: Team Backpacker Adventure Racing is at it again! Come out and join us for the third annual Backpacker Bushwhacker Adventure Race. The course is designed for solos, teams of two, three, or four members and features trail running, a professional  ropes course, mountain biking, and some pretty basic orienteering. Of course, we will throw in a few unexpected challenges along the way. If you competed in our first event, you probably think that you know what to expect. Well, you don’t. This is an all new course in an all new venue for 2012 and it’s made up of all the things we love – and hate – about adventure racing.

 

As the date draws near, we will announce a schedule for a couple of AR skills clinics to include “classroom” time and “on the ground” time. Come learn a few tricks from us and from our fellow competing teams. You can have some fun and become a more proficient and competitive team at the same time.

Course Design:

The course will include 5-9 miles of running, 11-18 miles of mountain biking, paddling, zip lines/ ropes course and some really cool special tests along the way. All of the information you’ll need will be included in a pre-race letter that will be posted online and e-mailed to each team.

 

If you’re new to navigating, don’t worry. We promise to keep it pretty simple. Also, watch for updates on the website. We will be offering a couple of AR skills clinics.

 

Race Length: 4-6 hours
